Henny Penny is the longest running preschool on the North Shore, inspiring young learners for more than 60 years. Many of our students have siblings and parents who are Henny Penny alumni! Henny Penny is deeply rooted in the Salem community and is housed within the First Church in Salem located on Essex Street in the heart of Salem. While not a religious-based education, Henny Penny’s values are aligned with those of the church: freedom, reason, interdependence, equity, justice, transformation, pluralism, and generosity as pathways to honoring love.
Community
The Henny Penny Parent Partnership (HP3) fosters community among all our learners and their families. Current and alumni Henny Penny parents are invited to join HP3 to get involved with planning activities and events. Donations to HP3 fund these special opportunities. EVENT CALENDAR COMING SOON!

Henny Penny Nursery School understands that each family has their own unique needs when it comes to early childhood education. With a minimum enrollment age of 2 years and 9 months, the option to choose which days your child attends, and extended day options, Henny Penny strives to work with your family’s schedule. Love of Learning
Henny Penny gives young learners the skills to grow socially, emotionally and physically. We believe strongly that children learn best through play. Our literacy-based, child-led curriculum is designed to set them up for success upon entering kindergarten.
